This last month has been really fun for Tommy. He had his first trip to the zoo (well he went last Fall but he doesn't remember), and he really loved it! Above you can see him looking at the hippos with Dad, playing peek-a-boo, and finally dozing off to sleep... also take note that Mom has convinced Dad to wear the "man-bag", a diaper bag for guys--so cool Dad!
This past month he also got to meet some old friends of Mom's, Fred and Matt Pufahl. Tommy especially liked Fred, probably because he sports a super-cool gotee (sp?)--maybe Dad should grow one! Also, Tommy has started to warm up to his Uncle Jon (used to cry when he held him).. but now they are buddies. Mom had to tell Jon to stop making the weird funny voices that scared him!
And new tricks of Tommy's this month include "so big" and pointing at EVERYTHING. His pointer finger might as well be frozen outward because he points all day long. Above you can see him doing "so big" (while eating spaghetti), and pointing while on Great Grandpa Pop's lap... He is also starting to pull himself up on his feet (no walking yet though!). Here you can see him goofin around with Dad through the window...
Tommy has also been busy hanging out with his friends here in Elmhurst. One of his friends, William, has this cool triplestroller that Tommy gets to sit b*$#% on... right between William and one of his girlfriends, Calan. As you can see, Calan is pretty cute and we are excited that Tommy will get dibs on her this summer because William is moving up to the lake.. (just kiddin William--we will miss you and those big "baby blues"!!!)
On Labor Day weekend, Tommy got to travel to Grandma & Grandpa Posey's house. A highlight was a bath with Grandma in the laundry room sink! And then it was off to Nana & Papa's house, where he got to give his Nana a really cool birthday present for her backyard--a bench! He and Daddy tried it out--as you can see they both fit perfect :-)
And how can we not post the most exciting moment for Tommy this past month... the Oscar Mayer Wiener truck we passed on the interstate. How cool!!!! (and definite props to Mom for snapping such a great shot)
